Nearly 1000 followers — thank you!

Hey, I just noticed that we nearly have a thousand followers 😮, since starting this travel blog in December. Thank you to all of you who have taken an interest, left a comment, asked questions and encouraged us along the way 🥰.

We seem to have hundreds of people who view and like our posts, but haven’t “followed”. Can you please help us tip over the 1000 mark?

Please do this:

  1. Tap on “Tesla Tripping” to view our profile. See screenshot.
  2. Tap on the “…” button.
  3. Tap on “Follow” so it changes to “Following”. If it already says “Following”, then you’re already part of the thousand – thank you ❤️

      3. Daniel Ryan Thanks ☺️. Hmmm. Can’t figure out why “Invited” is dimmed next to you, compared to others where it has gone (because they’ve accepted). Facebook’s UI needs some work.

  2. Your posts have convinced me that an EV is a viable vehicle for travelling

    1. Excellent! A large part for us doing this was to check the viability for us and others. Lots of nice surprises along the way, such as no routine maintenance visits to mechanics, air con without an engine, "fuelling up" while we sleep, etc.

  3. We're also so grateful to all of you who we have never met but have offered up lots of suggestions about great places to visit or stay or even offered up their laundry so we can get washing done along the way. There are some kind people out there.

  4. What I like about your posts is that they go beyond the old “can I do this in a Telsa?” question (which is usually shorthand for concerns about range, availability of chargers etc). Your posts show that you’re having fun!

    1. Anura Samara Thanks for the feedback ☺️. Yes, we try to post in two sections: fun, followed by “charging”. We’re pretty blasé about charging these days, but we add it to our posts for those new to EVs, or wanting to know about options in a particular town.

  5. We love following your travels. We took our Tesla on its first road trip from Brisbane to the Hunter Valley and back. Honestly charging was a breeze. We never had to wait anywhere and always timed our charges for smoko or dinner and it was never an issue. We even picked up several complimentary free charges at some pubs as well. Don’t be nervous about it, just get out there and enjoy it. We love ours

    1. Andrew Crane Good advice! Charge while you’re parked doing something else. Yes, charging along the coast from Brisbane to Melbourne is a breeze, especially with all the superchargers now.

      1. Tesla Tripping Inland is also good. We charged at Warwick for free then Tenterfield then at our motel at Glen Innes. Next day Armidale then got to the Hunter. Coming home up the coast was too easy, a mix of superchargers and others

      3. Andrew Crane True! Yes, we passed through Warwick, Tenterfield, Glen Innes, Armidale on our way through earlier this year. I believe Tenterfield now has new Tesla Superchargers.

  6. A thousand is a great start. As I have said, thoroughly enjoy living vicariously through your adventures. It's great seeing everyones' weekends (and weekdays) ruined this way. Such a great lifestyle.

  7. Where are you now? I suspect we’re close by, somewhat unexpectedly on my part as I changed my travel route today to pursue the readily available coastal chargers (it’s a different story not too far inland)
I’ll be at Dingo, then Rockhampton/Mount Larcom tomorrow (29/10)

      1. Tesla Tripping that’s an amazing coincidence that our travels across and up down this vast country should almost coincide tomorrow, given the 10k plus kilometres that I’ve driven in the last nine weeks
I’m about 400km from our mutual waypoint though and you’ll have about ten percent of that distance to travel in the morning, so we’ll miss the chance for another catch up I suspect
        So close, and yet…
        Happy travels 🙂👍🤜🤛

      2. Keith Strib Thanks Keith. Yes, what a coincidence. There’s a slight chance we might head out through Dingo to Emerald, then back to the coast near Mackay. But not sure yet.

        Happy, long, travels 🤜🤛
